Answer:
\(x=-\frac{42}{31}\)
Step-by-step explanation:
2 ( 5 - 10x ) + 8x = 19x + 52
→ Expand brackets
10 - 20x + 8x = 19x + 52
→ Simplify
10 - 12x = 19x + 52
→ Minus 19x from both sides
10 - 31x = 52
→ Minus 10 from both sides
-31x = 42
→ Divide both sides by -31
\(x=-\frac{42}{31}\)

here is a scatter plot for a set of bivariate data. what would you estimate the correlation coefficient to be?
You can use scatter plots to present bivariate data. The data can be used to create coordinate pairs.
What is meant by scatter plot?The relationship between the two variables in a bivariate data set is graphically represented by a scatter plot. Consider them to be the graphic depiction of two data sets that have been combined by allocating each axis in the plot to a distinct variable.
Due to the presence of two variables, this type of data is known as bivariate data. Only 1 variable may be displayed on a line plot. You can use scatter plots to present bivariate data. The data can be used to create coordinate pairs.
The standard deviation of each variable and the covariance between them must first be determined in order to calculate the Pearson correlation. Covariance is subtracted from the product of the standard deviations of the two variables to get the correlation coefficient.

Alvin is 14 years older than Elga. The sum of their ages is 56. What is Elga's age?
Answer:
Elga is 32 years old.
Step-by-step explanation:
Let Alvin's age = A
Let Elga's age = E
Alvin is 10 years younger than Elga, so A = E - 10
The sum of their ages is 54, so A + E = 54
Replace the A in the second equation with E - 10, then solve for E.
A + E = 54 becomes (E - 10) + E = 54
Combine like terms
2E - 10 = 54
Add 10 to both sides
2E = 64
Divide both sides by 2
E = 32
a cylinder and cone have equal volumes and radii of equal length. if the height of the cone is 24 centimeters
The radius of the cone is 3 times the radius of the cylinder, given that they have equal volumes and radii of equal length.
The height of the cylinder is also 24 centimeters since the radii are equal.
To find the volume of the cylinder, use the formula V = πr^2h, where r is the radius and h is the height.
To find the volume of the cone, use the formula V = (1/3)πr^2h, where r is the radius and h is the height.
Since the volumes are equal, you can set up the equation (1/3)πr^2(24) = πr^2(24) and solve for r.
Simplifying the equation, you get (1/3) = 1.
This means that the radius of the cone is 3 times the radius of the cylinder.
Therefore, the radius of the cone is 3 times the radius of the cylinder, given that they have equal volumes and radii of equal length.

To use Weighted Least Squares (WLS) for estimating the Linear Probability Model (LPM) the steps are:
Step 1: Estimate the model using OLS and obtain the residuals, u_i.
Step 2: Determine whether all of the P(y|x1,x2) are inside the unit interval. If so, proceed to step 3. If not, adjust them so that all values fit inside the unit interval.

Dr Leon is a chiropractor who offers house calls to his patients. He uses the function c(m) = 26m + 60 to calculate the total medical bill ( in dollars) ,c( m) , for each 20 - min session,m. During the holidays, Dr Leon changes his total medical bill function to c(m) = 35m + 45.
Answer: The total medical bill function for Dr. Leon is given by:
c(m) = 26m + 60
During the holidays, Dr. Leon changes his total medical bill function to:
c(m) = 35m + 45
We can compare the two functions to see how they differ:
c(m) = 35m + 45 (holiday pricing)
c(m) = 26m + 60 (regular pricing)
To calculate the difference in cost between the two pricing plans, we can subtract the regular pricing from the holiday pricing:
c(m) - c(m) = (35m + 45) - (26m + 60)
= 9m - 15
Therefore, the difference in cost between the two pricing plans is 9m - 15 dollars per 20-minute session. For any given value of m, we can use this expression to calculate the difference in cost between the two pricing plans.

Given expression is: $3x^2+5x+xy=8$.We are to find $dy/dx$ at point (-4,5) using implicit differentiation.Hence, the slope of the curve at point (-4,5) is 1
The formula is $3x2+5x+xy=8$.At point (-4,5), we must use implicit differentiation to determine $dy/dx$.
We get the following result to differentiate the preceding equation with regard to x:
$d/dx[3x2+5x+xy]=d/dx[8]$.
Consequently, the curve's slope at point (-4,5) is 1.
To differentiate the given equation with respect to x,
we obtain:$d/dx[3x^2+5x+xy]=d/dx[8]$.
So, $6x+5+xdy/dx+y=0$.
We need to find $dy/dx$ at (-4,5).
$6x+5+xdy/dx+y=0$......(1).
Putting x=-4 and y=5 in equation (1),
we get:$dy/dx=1$.
Therefore, $dy/dx=1$ at the point (-4,5).
Hence, the slope of the curve at point (-4,5) is 1.

Answer:
The area of the figure is;
A = 2,112 in²
Step-by-step explanation:
The given figure is a composite figure consisting of a rectangle AINE and a triangle AIL
The dimensions of the rectangle AINE are;
Length, L = 48 in.
Height, h = 32 in.
The area of the rectangle AINE, A₁ = Length, L × Height, h
∴ A = L × h = 48 in. × 32 in. = 1,536 in.²
The area of the triangle AIL, A₂ = 1/2 × Base × Height of the triangle
The base length of the triangle, L = IA = 48 in.
The height of the triangle, ht = 12 in.
∴ A₂ = L × ht
A₂ = 48 in. × 12 in. = 576 in.²
The area of the triangle AIL, A₂ = 576 in.²
The area of the figure, A = The area of the rectangle, A₁ + The area of the triangle, A₂
A = A₁ + A₂
∴ A = 1,536 in.² + 576 in.² = 2,112 in.²
The area of the figure, A = 2,112 in².
