The repetitive polymerization of the monomers to form the polymers which can yield macromolecules with the diverse properties and functions and this can be done by varying the sequence of the subunits, the cell can make a diversity of different polymeric molecules.
Monomers are basically the basic structural units of the polymers. Monomers undergo polymerization to form complex structures which are known as the polymers. These monomers can be completely identical or can be of different types.
Different types of macromolecules exhibiting diverse structural organization as well as functions can be obtained by changing the sequence as well as type of subunits which are polymerizing.

The genes for feather color and texture are independently assorted, with light blue being more dominant than smooth and dark blue. It appears that the characteristics for wing colour (light blue vs. dark blue) and wing texture (smooth vs. ridged) are separately assorting based on the observed ratios of offspring with various combinations of wing colour and texture.
Part B:
One theory for why lactose tolerance evolved in humans is that increased selection during famines led some individuals to have a different food supply and increased fat consumption, which offered more resources for improved fitness. These two possibilities may serve as theories for the evolution of lactose tolerance in humans. One characteristic often seen in people with a history of dairy farming is the ability to digest lactose (the sugar contained in milk) from infancy.

What type of system should your pack use-an open system or a closed system? Explain.
The type of system your pack should use, either an open system or a closed system, depends on the type of activity you plan to engage in, the climate, and the environment you will be operating in. An open system is characterized by adequate ventilation, allowing air to move freely in and out of the system. Open systems are typically more suitable for warm or hot climates, as they allow for air flow to help regulate body temperature and prevent overheating. They are also generally easier to maintain and lighter in weight compared to closed systems.
On the other hand, closed systems are typically sealed and do not allow air to move in and out. They are better suited for colder environments and activities, as they provide insulation and prevent cold air from entering the system. However, they can be heavy and require more maintenance than open systems. Ultimately, the decision between an open system and a closed system will depend on the specific needs and requirements of the activity and the environment in which it will take place.

Earth's tectonic plates
Earth's tectonic plates
Map showing Earth's major tectonic plates with arrows depicting the directions of plate movement.
The concept of plate tectonics was formulated in the 1960s. According to the theory, Earth has a rigid outer layer, known as the lithosphere, which is typically about 100 km (60 miles) thick and overlies a plastic (moldable, partially molten) layer called the asthenosphere. The lithosphere is broken up into seven very large continental- and ocean-sized plates, six or seven medium-sized regional plates, and several small ones. These plates move relative to each other, typically at rates of 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) per year, and interact along their boundaries, where they converge, diverge, or slip past one another. Such interactions are thought to be responsible for most of Earth’s seismic and volcanic activity, although earthquakes and volcanoes can occur in plate interiors. Plate motions cause mountains to rise where plates push together, or converge, and continents to fracture and oceans to form where plates pull apart, or diverge. The continents are embedded in the plates and drift passively with them, which over millions of years results in significant changes in Earth’s geography.
Plate tectonics is a scientific hypothesis that describes how the Earth's underground motions create essential landforms.
What is evidence that supports the plate tectonic theory? There is a variety of evidence that supports that plate tectonics accounts for
The distribution of fossils on different continents The occurrence of earthquakes.Continental and ocean floor features, including mountains, volcanoes, faults, and trenches. The extremely comparable Paleozoic sedimentary formations seen on all southern continents, as well as in India, offer evidence for continental drift. Tillites, sandstones, and finally coal measures, all of which are typical of warm moist climates, make up this diagnostic sequence. Both ice periods left glacial deposits—in the Silurian Period, in the southern Sahara.Isotopic dating of rocks in the 1950s and 1960s revealed that crystalline massifs of the Precambrian age (from about 4.6 billion to 541 million years ago) were discovered on opposite sides of the South Atlantic. Thus, we can conclude that above mentioned all points are the evidence that supports the plate tectonic theory.

Apraxia is the inability to carry out routine duties as they are explained in the context.
A neurological illness known as apraxia is characterised by the loss or impairment of the capacity to carry out or execute skilled or deliberate motions, even though the affected person is physically capable of doing so.
Apraxia in dementia patients might show itself as trouble with once-routine and familiar daily tasks like dressing, grooming, or eating. In contrast to other cognitive symptoms of dementia such as forgetfulness, agnosia (loss of sensory perception), and delusions, which are not explicitly connected to the inability to perform tasks, apraxia is separate from these symptoms.

If a lipid bilayer is at least 108 times less permeable to K ions than it is to water, how do the K ions that are needed for many cellular functions get into the cell
Answer:
Explanation:
If the lipid bilayer is at least 108 times less permeable to K ions than it is to water, then a way that this much needed ions can get into the cell is through ion channels.
Ion channels are memberane proteins that form pores and they also span across the cell membrane allowing ions to pass through these pores. They act as a passage through which charged ions can pass through. There are three main type: voltage-gated, extracellular ligand-gated, and intracellular ligand-gated ion channels.

Answer:
directional selection
Explanation:
The directional selection is a type of Darwinian selection where a particular phenotype is favored in the population, thereby modifying the allelic frequencies to increase the proportion of the favored phenotype. Biston betularia, also known as peppered moth, is a species that was influenced by directional selection in its recent past. Before the industrial revolution, the frequency of light-colored moths was predominant compared to the darker-colored phenotypes, because this color has higher adaptive fitness in a clean, no pollution environment, thereby light-colored moths were able to avoid predatory birds. However, during the industrial revolution, the frequency of dark-colored moths increased in response to pollution (i.e. darker environment), thereby conferring a higher adaptive fitness to darker phenotypes.

Thyroid hormones contribute the metabolism of energy in the body
Thyroid hormones contribute to energy metabolism in the body through effects on the brain white fat brown fat skeletal muscle liver, and pancreas.
The thyroid hormone increases the basal metabolic rate. Increased expression of Na+K+ ATPase genes in various tissues increases oxygen consumption, respiratory rate, and body temperature. Depending on the metabolic status, it can induce lipolysis or lipid synthesis. This causes the thyroid gland to produce and secrete the hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine into the bloodstream.
Thyroid hormones help the body use energy maintain body temperature, and keep vital organs such as the brain, heart, and muscles working properly and efficiently.
