Text: “Saving Water? Why Bother?” (Read the to answer the question)
“You really need to start turning the faucet off when you brush your teeth. First, leaving the water running is pointless, because as you’re brushing your teeth, you’re not using the water. I know you think that since everyone else is turning off the water why should you, since that’s just a drop in the bucket; but did you know that by turning the water off, you could save up to 8 gallons of water a day? The average faucet uses 2 gallons of water a minute. If you turned the water off while you brushed your teeth, you would help conserve water in our town, which needs it, because it rains so little here.”

O it indicates that the addition of sugar was a significant change to Europeans' diets.

The phrase "the world transformed" suggests that something major has happened, which in this case is the addition of sugar to European diets. This implies that the inclusion of sugar was a significant change that had an impact on the way Europeans ate and lived. Write a letter to Trevor Noah. Describe how you felt when you read about his childhood, and ask him five questions about parts of the text you want to hear more about.
Dear Trevor Noah.
I decided to write this letter after reading his account of his birth and youth. I was impressed with his story and his overcoming, which gave me a lot of inspiration in my own life and gave me a certain willpower not only to improve my life, but also to have a better relationship with my mother . I confess that I somewhat envy the relationship you have with yours.
Speaking of your mother, I was impressed with her every decision and courage and I would like to know, how did she deal with the fact of having a child raised between her and a white man, since that was forbidden?
In addition, I have other questions. I wonder if you have any kind of relationship with your paternal family? Do you have your father's nationality and citizenship? Did you suffer any punishment in your mother's country for being a mixed-race child? Do you think that if you had been raised with your father, your life would be different?
I know there are a lot of questions, but I found your story very intriguing and interesting and I try that you don't mind my questioning.
Sincerely
M.J

What did Cecile get for Delphine? How does this make her feel and why:one crazy summer
In the book "One Crazy Summer" by Rita Williams-Garcia, Cecile gets a yellow dress for Delphine. This makes Delphine feel happy and special, as she had never owned a brand-new dress before.
What does Cecile do in One Crazy Summer?Throughout the story, Delphine and her younger sisters, Vonetta and Fern, travel from Brooklyn to Oakland to visit their estranged mother, Cecile, who left them when they were young. Delphine takes on the role of caregiver to her sisters and tries to make the most of their time in California, despite the challenges of dealing with their mother's indifference and the political turmoil of the late 1960s.
When Cecile presents Delphine with the yellow dress, it is a rare moment of kindness and attention from their mother. Delphine feels grateful and happy to receive a gift that is just for her. She also sees it as a sign that Cecile is starting to recognize her as an individual with her own needs and desires, rather than just as a caregiver for her sisters.
Therefore,, the gift of the yellow dress represents a small but meaningful connection between Delphine and Cecile. It helps Delphine feel seen and appreciated, even in the midst of a difficult and emotionally charged visit.

answer to Part A?
Jewish refugees on the st louis
The detail that best supports the answer to Part A is "The journey itself was very pleasant for the passengers, with fancy meals, activities for young people and some childcare”. The Option A is correct.
Why did Refugees Flee for Safety? When the Nazi regime in Germany began persecuting Jews and other minority groups in the late 1930s, the world faced very similar concerns. One ship that transported Jewish refugees to safer countries was the MS St. Louis. Almost all of the passengers were Jews fleeing persecution under Hitler's Third Reich.
The ship was headed for Cuba, and then the United States. The trip itself was very enjoyable for the passengers, with fancy meals, activities for children and some childcare, and religious services on Friday evenings. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip, especially after experiencing so much stress and hardship in Germany.
Missing options "A. “The journey itself was very pleasant for the passengers, with fancy meals, activities for young people and some childcare”
B. “On May 27, the St. Louis weighed anchor in Havana, Cuba, where passengers were denied permission to leave the ship and officially enter Cuba.”
C. “Captain Schroder pressed on to find new homes for all of his passengers.”
D. “scholars estimate that, of the 936 refugees (one man died during the journey), 709 of the passengers survived the war, and 227 did not.”

FRANKENSTEIN (PLEASE HELP 40 POINTS) VOL II
Is Victor Frankenstein right when he describes the creature as a fundamentally malevolent character? Or does the creature’s tale establish that he is a fundamentally benevolent character? In other words, are the creature’s acts of violence understandable and justified? Why or why not?(WRITE IN CER PARAGRAPH, CLAIM , EVIDENCE, REASONING) (ADD QUOTE)
*before I start I'm also reading Frankenstein for class rn but I don't have my book on me so I can't sight evidence but ill do my best*
The creature's actions are understandable for many reasons. For example, when the monster explains in his tale that he realizes taking food from the cottagers was wrong he decides to stop so he can be helpful to the family and he also cuts firewood for them too. This shows he understands the emotions of others and can tell when he has to be kind. Later on in the tale, he explains how Felix and the others are more content with how there life is and they are happier, after seeing this the monster feels more like an outcast and threatens Victor to make a wife. The monster explains how he killed William after he knew that the boy was related to Victor, it wasn't right that the monster killed William but he was just trying to make Victor feel the same pain that he did. From all these we can see that the monster can learn from mistakes but sometimes he decides not t since he feels like he always has to get revenge.
